Due to the federal shutdown, & the agencies being unsure that they’ll have funds in February, many states are issuing their February benefits early.
If you get an unexpected credit to your SNAP balance between now and January 20th 2019, it’s not extra money. It’s your February credit, meant to cover February’s food.
Most of the reports on this seem to be from local news, not nationwide outlets, but here’s a Politico article with some general info.
This is true! For my PA followers SNAP benefits are being issued tomorrow, January 18th. Please make sure you budget accordingly!
