We can be mad at the GOP all we want but…

If all the people who don’t vote actually voted…

Young people in this country need to not only vote, but work on getting each and every friend to vote as well.

I have voted in every election since I turned 18. I watched as my apathetic peers didn’t vote when I was younger and now some of them are complaining that the system doesn’t work for them.

The system only works for those who vote. Your vote and your friends’ vote is worth more than donations, worth more than endorsements.

The reason the right is so invested in voter suppression is because they know this! They know how important every vote is. You can not afford to be cynical or apathetic about this.

Young voters have the WORST voting habits. You all don’t vote, so your voice doesn’t get heard. While pundits and hacks are trying to figure out how to win over voters from the other side, there’s this huge mass of humanity who is just sitting out and letting others make all the decisions.

Don’t be cynical. Don’t “both parties are bad” this. Vote strategically. Vote to save our lives. Tired of jokes about millennials? Pay the baby boomers back by voting their asses out.

Just fucking vote already.

*And before you cry about the electoral college or gerrymandering you need to understand that national elections are not the only or even most important elections. Local and state elections are on those ballots too, and the electoral college has JACK SHIT to do with those. You can make a difference by voting.
