Some of the resources are specific to men and others aren’t, but they are all helpful for male survivors.)

SLAMS that reblog

This is amazing @sexuallymonsterous you are a good person for putting this list together.

Not all that related to this blog, but I wanted to share this anyway. To all survivors of abuse, please know that what happened to you was not your fault, you didn’t deserve what happened to you. You matter, you’re strong for still being here & putting up with what you’ve had to. Hold on. Know that you’re loved 💛💜🖤

It took me 46 years to realize how consistently I had been emotionally abused as a child and adult, until I pulled away from my abuser and stopped letting him keep me in a toxic relationship.

It’s never too late to reclaim your life from the people who hurt you, because you deserve to be happy and to live your best life.

It depends on the role but I’m open to it because I love the people involved, and it would be so much fun to work with Patrick again.

So I had to return a book to the library today and I came straight from the horse farm. I went to the front desk because it was an item on loan from another library and I wasn’t sure if it had to be checked in differently. The librarian said no, it could get returned in the normal slot but she could take it and check it in right away.

It was only when I got back to the car that I realized I had walked into the library covered in dirt from head to toe and handed back a book about grave robbing.

I guarantee you that was the highlight of their day.

In 1943, a team of ingenious Italian doctors invented a deadly, contagious virus called Syndrome K to protect Jews from annihilation. On October 16 of that year, as Nazis closed in to liquidate Rome’s Jewish ghetto, many runaways hid in the 450-year-old Fatebenefratelli Hospital. There, anti-Fascist doctors including Adriano Ossicini, Vittorio Sacerdoti and Giovanni Borromeo created a gruesome, imaginary disease.

“Syndrome K was put on patient papers to indicate that the sick person wasn’t sick at all, but Jewish” and in need of protection, Ossicini told Italian newspaper La Stampa last year. The “K” stood for Albert Kesselring and Herbert Kappler — two ruthless Nazi commanders.

The doctors instructed “patients” to cough very loudly and told Nazis that the disease was extremely dangerous, disfiguring and molto contagioso. Soldiers were so alarmed by the list of symptoms and incessant coughing that they left without inspecting the patients. It’s estimated that a few dozen lives were saved by this brilliant scheme.

The doctors were later honored for their heroic actions, and Fatebenefratelli Hospital was declared a “House of Life” by the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation.

the most important thing to me ever is bi kids knowing that it’s ok to be 10% attracted to women and 90% attracted to men or 10% attracted to men and 90% attracted to women and still feeling ok to identify as bi, and still feeling like their identity is valid, and still feeling like they can lead fulfilling lives with both (or other) genders. like that’s just so fricking important.

I’m a bi adult and you know what? I needed this. Thank you.

it’s also important to remember that it can be a fluid % like sometimes it’ll be 50/50 some times 10/90 and then drift into a 45/65 or even 2/98 and it’s still okay. It’s just where you are at that time in your life.

The truth is that Pluto was demoted not because we have anything against Pluto, but because if we let Pluto be a planet we’d have to let Ceres be a planet too, and, like, fuck Ceres in particular.

This isn’t a shitpost. This is a completely literal description of the decision-making process underpinning the IAU’s 2006 reforms to the definition of a planet.

NO 😂

I’m George RR Martin

growing up in maine us writers were of course always comparing ourselves to stephen king.  TURNS OUT HE’S FUCKING WRITER GEORG

“average writer writes 3 books a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average person writes 1 book per year. Steven King, who lives in cave & writes over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

My favourite quote from Steven King was something like “I am a salami writer. I try to make good salami, but salami is salami.”

Good news everyone it’s taken a while but I have a solid explanation for the “what was her name” moment from Diego it’s an inside joke that’s been going on since the one time when they were all 14 and hypothesising about their adult lives. Even though Klaus was So Obviously Not Straight Luther mentioned him having a wife and Diego thought it was so fucking hilarious that now any time Klaus hooks up with anyone Diego is like “oh who was she? have you finally met your future wife?”

Luther: We’ll all be this big happy family and it’ll be great I’ll have barbecues and invite everyone. Klaus and his wife will bring booze and we’ll have a great time.

Everyone else:

Klaus, with his pyjama shirt tied into a crop top, Allison’s boa wrapped around his neck, and glitter eyeshadow: My what
