Update: I took the last one and now she wants to know where her bananas went
I’ve come to the conclusion that Cleo loves the bananas because she loves the color yellow.

if you didn’t know, she’s an actress, mostly known for playing Tahani in The Good Place
reasons to stan her:
she does some amazing work fighting unfair beauty standards, in many many ways
she created @i-weigh, an instagram page where people post pictures of themself with the caption “I weigh _” and replacing their weight with things they are proud of, for example “I weigh being a successful single mom, being a good friend, surviving my mental illness and being a good knitter”. it’s not allowed to put anything about your appearance, even positive, like “being beautiful despite my weight” or “I have beautiful eyes”. you have to talk about things you did, not things you are (which sounds pressuring, but a lot of people post small achievements! it’s fine!)
she talked about the horror of “detox teas” that are all over instagram. she said that she used a lot of them at the worst of her eating disorder, and that it seriously damaged her digestive system. she encourages people to unfollow those who promote them, including big celebrities like the Kardashians. she also made a parody of influencers promoting those where she had to interrupt her ad to run to the bathroom (she also talked about the actual effect of the “detox”, which is basically to make you shit a lot and not to actually get rid of any fat)
she is trans and non binary inclusive. she asked for more trans and nb contributions to @i_weigh. she also mentioned trans issues on her posts, by saying “it’s a big issue for women, and from what I heard a big issue in the trans man community too” (I can’t remember what the issue mentioned actually was, but I really appreciate her talking about the trans community without acting like she knows everything). she also posted something about being very disappointed in a celebrity she liked for being transphobic. finally, someone once mistook her for a trans woman and some fans “jumped to her defence”, but she immediately posted about not being offended at all and even being quite flattered to be compared with the trans women she knows.
she also talked about photoshop. as a brown woman, she often had some of her features, her nose for example, changed to look more white. she now tries to minimize the amount of photoshopping that goes into magazine pictures, and I think she even flat out refused to pose for magazines that would change her face. she also talked about not wearing foundation and concealer anymore to lessen the pressure for women to have perfectly clear skin - she now sticks to makeup like bright eyeshadow that is not meant to pass as natural
whenever she speaks out about a particular person - I think recently Khloe Kardashian? - she makes sure that she’s not being agressive, and corrects any newspaper who tries to make it sound like she attacked them. she is genuinely compassionate in her approach to activism, and it’s a great lesson to learn
finally, she’s just really fun and talented! she’s a great actress but also a hilarious person. if you haven’t heard of it, she posted an “inspirational quote” that was: “anything is a dildo if you are brave enough”
tl;dr: jameela jamil is a fucking gift to humanity, she’s funny and woke, and tries her best to protect her fans, which is all I want from any celebrity.

If, after you are finished questioning and experimenting with gender/sexuality, you figure out that you are straight and/or cisgender, that is completely okay. Your time spent figuring yourself out was not wasted or in vain, and you weren’t “faking it” the whole time. You’re just as valid as anyone else.
PREACH. Experimenting and becoming more self aware is NOT a waste of time.

The dude who shot up two mosques in Christchurch New Zealand did so for two reasons: because he is a racist fucker, and because he wants to be a famous shooter. So don’t give him that. Don’t say his name, don’t share his face. Let him be a nameless, faceless nobody. Share the names of those he killed – remember them. But make the shooter as unknown as possible. He doesn’t deserve to have his name known.

He started out as a mime and a professional contortionist. He got into acting and has acted in over 25 movies and numerous television shows. Still doesn’t ring any bells? Probably because Doug’s gig is characters and crazy ass costumes and shit.

It took him 5 hours to get into the Pale Man costume in Pan’s Labyrinth, and, once in it, he could only just slightly see out of the nose holes, but he was mostly blind.
And the costume for Fauno himself? Well, he could only just barely see out of the nose holes in that one, too. The actual head part was filled with mechanics that made the eyebrows and ears move. And those mechanics were so loud that he couldn’t hear while inside of it, so he had to memorize Ofelia’s lines as well as his own so that he could say them in his head to know when to talk. Oh, and he doesn’t actually speak any Spanish at all, so he was memorizing both his, and someone else’s lines in a language he couldn’t speak.
Doug Mother Fucking Jones.
Werk.
This is once more relevant since Doug Jones is at it again– he’s gonna be the hot fish man in Del Toro’s The Shape of Water.
Because you can never blog Dougie enough.
His ‘breakout’ was the MacTonight commercials (most of you are probably to young to remember those) as Moonhead
And c’mon kiddies, don’t you know who is playing the Thin Clown in ‘Batman Returns?’ Great speech, Oswald…
In Del Toro’s Crimson Peak, he played both of the other ghosts.
And like the previously mentioned films, he shot this sequence with limited sight due to the prosthetics. Look at that.
Face it, you’ve seen him everywhere and probably didn’t realize it. Let’s give it up for The Dougie.
I think the worst part is Doug Jones like almost never get’s credited with other actors, he’s almost always credited further down as a stunt man or something. In ‘The Shape of Water’ trailers his name isn’t with the other actors even though he’s literally a main character :| He’s not just a dude in a rubber suit! He’s a legit talented actor capable of doing things a lot of other actors can’t do.
