Them: Oh you don’t want this cat. He’s wild and he bites everyone and he’ll never just sit nicely in your lap. He’s a project cat.
Me: That’s okay, I’m a project person.
Two weeks later:
He won’t leave.

I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU YOU HAVE NO IDEA
“problem” cats just need a safe person. Someone who is patient and doesn’t push them. Once you gain their trust they will love you forever.
Most problem cats are only a “problem” because people try to push them into being something they aren’t comfortable being.And they’re usually the most loving, sweet, and gentle animals once they realize you aren’t going to demand that of them.
