I just learned that if you are the descendent of a Jew stripped of citizenship in Germany during the Holocaust, you are entitled to German citizenship
Wouldn’t it be so ironic if I, the grandchild of a German Jew who immigrated to America to flee Nazi Germany, fled to Germany decades later to escape fascism in the US?
Sounds like a sequel I’d read, but never want to live through.
Yeah, I’m hoping things do not escalate to that point in the US. But it’s funny you say that considering I’ve been thinking about writing a book about my family history lol
