don’t forget 2 years of highschool spanish
OKAY OKAY BUT WAIT.
My mother is half korean, was adopted at nine by my grandparents who are white and grew up in the states. She doesn’t know much korean at all. She has a spanish first name(because grandma LOVED this spanish actress) and took years of spanish in high school. She’s fluent in spanish.
MEANWHILE IN LA… Her bio- aunt immigrated to the US from korea back in the very early 80′s. Living in Ktown she became a seamstress and tailor for a laundromat. She never learns english.
When mom and her aunt found each other, mom spoke no korean and her aunt spoke no english. BUT THEY BOTH SPOKE FLUENT SPANISH AND CONVERSED THAT WAY.
