YIKES I hate posts like this, that are supposed to be some ‘gotcha’ re: how British people react to hot weather that the US doesn’t class as hot…I’m gonna be real with you chief, our climate is colder so we aren’t used to these temperatures and those who are most affected by high (and low) temperatures here are animals, the elderly, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and young children. Basically anyone who doesn’t have the money or tools to access technology that cools them down (or heats them up). We also don’t typically have air-con in our homes here. I know this is about a marathon specifically but like….I wish some of yous would stop throwing poor people under the bus with joke posts like this. Every part of the world has different climates, PLEASE get over it and criticise the UK over things that are actually worth while and don’t make a mockery of something that can actually be really serious.
