First of all, Andre Breton was the founder/Pope of Surrealism not Dali. In fact Dali was invited much later into the fold, and with some reluctance from Breton because he found Dali’s work to be too offensive at times.
So not only is it odd to see Dali speak for Surrealism in this, he in fact would absolutely love the vision of cats in a castle.
