I’ve been looking at a lot of pictures of this weekend’s pride events.
I’ve seen a lot of ace flags. Even a few aro and demi flags in the mix.
I’ve seen aces included by prominent groups, including at an official Pride Month ceremony in Brooklyn. THE Brooklyn. The one in New York that has a population larger than 15 states. That guy in the picture is the President of Brooklyn.
And you know what I haven’t seen? A single picture of any kind of anti-ace sentiment. No aros getting their queer credentials checked at the gate. No demis getting hauled away. No “aces aren’t LGBT” bullshit on a sign. That doesn’t exist in the real world. All that gatekeeping is a fabrication of a tiny number of loud assholes on the Internet.
Aces are welcome at Pride. Aces belong at Pride.
