I hate the “I didn’t disclose all my trauma immediately so it’s not real” attitude on tumblr y'all have no respect for trauma victims and their processing and I wish somebody would staple your lips together shut the fuck up
Bonus points if it then segues into “also, you’re not allowed to have an opinion on [topic X] unless you’ve personally experienced [trauma Y], and are able to satisfy some arbitrary standard of proof to substantiate it”, thereby perversely shutting those who have, in fact, personally experienced [trauma Y] out of the discussion unless they’re willing to publicly and repeatedly rehash what may well be the literal worst experience of their lives.
