Republicans are giving Wall St the keys to the castle. When these financial companies lose your information, or create fees for services you never agreed to, now there is no class action to protect yourself.
u know there were democrats who also… voted in favor of this. … liberals are trash that will always uphold the capitalist system. it’s disingenuous to pretend it’s only the republicans doing this shit. but okay… 💅💅💅💅
The house vote was 231 to 190. 231 Republicans aye, 189 Democrats and 1 Republican nay.
The senate vote was 50-50. 50 Republicans aye, all 46 Democrats, 2 Independents, and even 2 Republicans nay. Mike Pence walked in to break the tie for the 5th time.
Like sure, some Democrats definitely break ranks from time to time (Joe Manchin in particular is the prime suspect here, voting with Trump 53% of the time), but you managed to pick the vote were literally all of them voted against this thing.
