My dad told me that he has a coworker who’s a trans woman. She was married to this girl before her transition and they remained together after it. Everyone at work respects her pronouns. My dad is in a chiefing position at his office and he told me that nobody jokes behind her back. She and her wife have two cute dogs together and I felt like I should share this story bc I want everyone to know that this positivity and respect exists and you deserve it. Don’t ever dare think that you don’t because you do.

Intentional misspellings and unusual handling of words is one of my favorite “minor” memes tbh I love it so much. Here are some of my all time favorites:
▪ Replacing “ck” with “cc” (ie. succ, thicc)
▪ Replacing “t” with “d” and vice-versa (ie. gotdamn,shid,blocket)
▪ Just… every kind of weird variation you can do with the word “fuck” (ie. fuckening, fucky)
▪ Weird jumbling of curse words that somewhat resemble something coherent (ie. mother fuck of a shit, shut the hell your mouth)
▪ Replacing a vowel in a word with another (ie. borger)
why have you analysed this
I don’t really remember the exact mindset I was in when I wrote this but it was probably something like “ohhhmmff english lamguage cool”

I went to see Love, Simon today and at the end when I was leaving the theatre there was a big group of LGBTQ kids posing for a photo with the movie poster, and right next to them was a group of Black girls doing the same with Black Panther, and everyone was grinning so big and just looked absolutely invigorated. I don’t think I’m ever going to forget that scene. For so long I have not let myself get my hopes up that I will see representations of myself and my friends and communities on screen. But I’m letting myself hope now, because it’s happening. It’s really happening.

im gonna start calling it all “christian mythology” now and watch people literally melt in fury
I call it Christian mythology and the amount of angry looks I get from old people in public when I say it is honestly baffling and hysterical.
how come everyone here saw a post clearly meant to point out how people treat indigenous peoples’ religions with disrespect and decided to make it all about pissing off Christians?
the point of this post was very obviously “treat indigenous peoples better” but you have chosen to read it as “treat Christian religious beliefs more poorly”. i wanted people to reflect on the language they use to talk about the religions of indigenous peoples but that intent was apparently lost on many people.
i want you to ask yourself why you are more willing to make the effort to treat certain people unkindly than to treat other people with respect.
