My account has been suspended and I am wondering if this has anything to do with me telling my Bot, which creates unique posts based on my own and combines them for entertainment, that I’d “kill” it in a reply, as this happened within two hours of being suspended.

I have complied with the twitter guidelines, and my bot is for entertainment purposes and neither contacts people through replies or direct messages, and apart from the above, I am not aware of any other actions that may have lead to a suspension.

If it is related to the above, and my exaggerated response was in breech of twitter guidelines even when directed at a bot, I would be happy to remove the offending tweet.

i can’t wait for the response, if my account is suspended permanently because of Ronnie Bot this will be the final blow to my ego and Ronnie Bot’s last move to become the real Ronnie

and I was suspended not even two hours later, which suggests to me that Ronnie Bot itself, reported me for this violent abuse, and Twitter, aiming a gun at both of us, wasn’t able to tell who was the Real Ronnie, and panicked.

I was suspended for “promoting violence” for telling my own bot i was gonna kill it

Also one time he was supposed to write a violin and piano duet, and he wrote the violin part, but he didn’t really feel like writing the piano part, or was too lazy etc. When the concert came up (he played the piano while a fiend played the violin) he set up a blank piece of paper (so people would think he was reading music) and improvised. After the concert he wrote it down so it could be published

readers on Tumblr. So y’all might be interested – or, if not, you really should

On Monday, this went down:

On Monday morning, every single Barnes & Noble location –
that’s 781 stores – told their full-time employees to pack up and leave. The
eliminated positions were as follows: the head cashiers (those are the people
responsible for handling the money), the receiving managers (the people
responsible for bringing in product and making sure it goes where it should),
the digital leads (the people responsible for solving Nook problems), the newsstand
leads (the people responsible for distributing the magazines), and the bargain
leads (the people responsible for keeping up the massive discount sections). A
few of the larger stores were able to spare their head cashiers and their
receiving managers, but not many.

Just about everyone lost between 3 and 7 employees. The
unofficial numbers put the total around 1,800 people.

People.

We’re not talking post-holiday culling of seasonal workers.
This was the Red Wedding. Every person laid off was a full-time
employee. These were people for whom Barnes & Noble was a career.
Most of them had given 5, 10, 20 years to the company. In most cases it was
their sole source of income.

There was no warning.

But it gets worse.

This comic came up in my work recently, as I was interviewing Janice about design and disability. She generously gave me permission to quote her in the comic. All the characters in this comic represent feedback I’ve heard as an accessibility professional, both from disabled and able-bodied folks.

It’s always interesting when I’m giving an accessible design 101 workshop how many people come with ideas about disability as a binary thing - they often think of the most extreme form of a disability as the most common kind (ex - a person with a visual disability literally getting no visual input, a person in a wheelchair not being able to move at all), whereas disabilities manifest in lots of different ways, and fluctuate with time and circumstance. This is why there’s not one perfect accessibility solution, and we need flexibility and accommodation in the way we design our environments and systems!

Anyways, mostly remember that you don’t know for sure what’s going on when you look at someone, and in the face of uncertainty, try to default to kindness. That serves me pretty well.

this goes even further, some European countries will give you a castle for free if you submit a plan stating how you intend to restore or preserve it. Italy alone for example has somewhere between 100 and 300 castles they intend to give away to anyone with intent to be a caretaker, they literally cant keep track of how many discount castles are up for grabsit doesn’t even have to be an ambitious plan, even if it says you just intend to keep it from becoming more shitty and will occasionally add a few bricks when you can afford it. given that most of them come with land you could convert the grounds to actually produce enough income to pay for the repairs- like setting up apple trees and brewing cider you sell with your castle name on the bottle, or raising some goats for cheese, a hobby farm could turn this into an actual income opportunity. hell, throwing parties at the castle could make it an income opportunitythey will literally -GIVE- you a castle to make sure someone is taking care of it rather then let them all sit empty
